I believe connection is everything to the human experience.

This is my story.

People often ask me how I came to be an "expert" in connection skills.

The truth is, I never expected it. I never even knew what coaching was two years ago.

The second truth? I'm still learning every single day.

In 2012, I found myself, an aspiring adult, feeling lonely and disconnected in London, the city I grew up in. Not knowing how to make friends or find a community to belong, I felt as if I wasn't good enough and waited at home every evening for the problem to magically fix itself... Turns out, magic doesn't exist but a human's ability to CHANGE does.

Once I realised I'd had enough of the pain, I decided to create change in my life. Since 2012, I started adventuring out of my comfort zone, talking to strangers, attending events by myself, going to public speaking classes and performing on the street. All the meanwhile, I was working for self-development companies and absorbing all that I could to develop as a social being. Little did I know I'd end up using those skills to coach!

Who is Isla today?

I now focus on helping professional Londoners by sharing my experience through interactive workshops, trainings and one-to-one personalised coaching.

When I'm not coaching, I teach yoga for charities, host community gatherings, perform improvised theatre on stage and sing in front of the mirror on the odd occasion.
